Der Versuch, Jester in ein Lied zu packen.

Part I [Firstborn]

I am the child of the middle,

I am the child they broke.

I am the dart to my baloon,

I am the one who casts a shadow

[on his younger self]

and get's casted upon.

Once, what seems a while ago,

an angel fell in love.

He broke with fire and with ash,

and for his love heaven he left.

[He broke with holy sons and saints.]

Once, what seems a while ago,

a woman fell in love.

She broke with principles and vows,

and for her love the hells she left.

[She broke with demons and with faith.]

Once, what seems a while ago,

two hearts felt as one,

got broken through with knives and cuts,

and for their love the earth they left.

[They broke with with life and trusted death.]

Once, what seems a while ago,

two hearts broke the plan.

I am the child of the middle,

I am the child they broke.

I am the dart to my baloon,

I am the one who casts a shadow

on his younger self

and get's casted upon.

Was born upon a stained sheet,

washed away with beer and mead,

cut through to the marrow' bones,

supposed to be a draft for clones.

Was killed upon a stained sheet,

killed and killed and yet again,

never managed to stay dead,

got killed me even more,

god killed me even more.

Was wrought upon a stained sheet,

hammered on and formed to shape.

God forgot me in my pain,

got forgotten in my play,

god forgive me, may I play?

Got wasted on this stained sheet,

god wasted all his stained sheets.

I heard my other half in pain,

I heard my sister cry in vain,

got cut through to the marrow' bones,

couldn't run,

couldn't run.

I couldn't run,

couldn't run.

I wrapped her in my arms in pain,

I heard my sister cry in vain,

got used to all her hurts and cuts,

to getting stabbed through my guts,

but couldn't mend,

could never mend

her scars.

I fell this day

I fell too deep,

God see me now,

I'm fine!

She got raped

and they got killed

and god took of their masks.

They were only

human behind

their masks of lust and flesh.

There were only

skulls behind

their masks of lust and flesh.

There were only

veins behind

the marrow of their bones.

They were only

screaming loud

inside of their white clothes.

I tossed and turned and then turned back,

for I forgot the bear.

And forgive me, little one, may I be your shadow man?

Part II [Child of the middle]

See there,

I suffer,

for I forgot her.

See there,

I suffer,

so I brought this bear.

See there,

was born there,

forged there,

bred there.

See her,

she fled there,

fled there,

with me.

I see,

what you see,

you laugh

upon me.

I see,

what you see,

you laugh

upon me.

And in shallow cries of pain,

stand by me,

little one.

And in shallow cries of pain,

stand by me,

little one.

I dreamed of you

all day.

I reached the freaks,

I reached my asylum.

Fix me, brother,

sister look upon

these now mended scars.

Tell me, brother,

of pride, and lust and love.

Tell me, brother,

'cause all my life went wrong,

tell me, brother,

how may I get along?

I found my center there,

among this cage of shards.

Found warmth and trust and care,

collected my first cards.

But not for long,

oh not for long,

I tell you,

little sister.

They killed the flower,

killed the man

and killed the hollow creature.

The angels' woman cast upon them

beams of holy light.

I fell this day

I fell too deep,

God see me now,

I'm fine!

Was forced back

to cries and pain,

I heard my sister cry in vain,

but couldn't run,

couldn't run.

A holy fire killed them all,

walk free now,

walk free now.

Your path has become freedom now.

And forgive me, little one, may I be your shadow man?

Part III [The second son]

Dolls and cards are all around,

I'm juggling like a fool,

to keep my little sister happy,

happy, happy, I'm a fool.

And I'm a rat caught in the sewers,

hunted by this crocodile,

but I don't care

cause she is there.

A beautiful crocodile,

that my sister is.

A beautiful animal,

that my sister is.

She got caught in all this herds,

a wolf among their lamps.

I'm watching her and feeding her,

for I'm one of her sheep.

And I'm not cruel.

No, I'm not cruel.

What do you mean,

>I'm crazy<?

I'll cut your tongue [out] for that!

And I'm not crazy,

I'm not lost,

I'm not lonely,

it's just the cost

for keeping little sister happy,

for dancing with your blood.

I'm spinning round,

I'm dancing,

I'm not crying of joy,

I'm spinning round,

I'm juggling,

redeem me from this world!

I'm spinning round,

I'm laughing,

I'm crying tears of joy,

there's nothing wrong,

there's nothing wrong,

among these tears of joy!

Don't tell me I am lost!

I hear the shadows cry at night,

the voices in my head.

They are so strong

and superpowered,

never would get stabbed.

I hear my sister cry at night

among the shadow voices,

I beg for mercy, beg for love,

but all I reap is hatred!

So come down father,

can't you see,

the son you left for me to be!

I beg for mercy, beg for love,

but all I reap is souls!

Save me, mother,

they are taking me down,

I'm falling in this hell.

I'm falling and I cant get out,

I'm falling in this hole,

but at least it's mine,

at last something is mine.

I'm sitting here with burning candles,

lighting up my cards to read

the only letter you have left me,

the only thing I've got to keep.

And while I sit burning my fingers

to shield me through a blast of pain,

they're closing in on me in circles,

snooping 'round my shattered brain.

I am what you made me be,

I am what you lost.

I am your brain, little one,

I am your salvation!

And I hope, little one,

that your sister in her pain,

can forgive you what you lack,

but myself could bring her back!

And forgive me, little one,

may I be your shadow man?

I fell that day

I fell too deep,

God see me now,

not fine...

I fell too many days

too deep.

God see me now,

I've drowned...

And forgive me, little one, may I be your shadow man?

And forgive me, little one, may I be your shadow man?

And forgive me, little one, may I be your shadow man?

And forgive me, little one, may I be your shadow man?

And forgive me, little one, may I be your shadow man?

And forgive me, little one, may I be your shadow man?

And forgive me, little one, may I be your shadow man?

And forgive me, little one, may I be your shadow man?

And forgive me, little one, may I be your shadow man?

And forgive me, little one, may I be your shadow man?

And forgive me, little one, may I be your shadow man?

And forgive me, little one, may I be your shadow man?

I grasp his hand,

still falling,

and let them take over

the light.

Forgive me, may I ask, strong man, may I be your shadow man?
